Utrecht Heart of Health is a non-profit initiative positioning Utrecht as the region for health and innovation. Their website ran on WordPress, but the setup was outdated and hard to work with. Updating content took more effort than it should have. The site no longer reflected the organization's identity or ambitions. Something new was needed. The budget was limited. That meant making clear choices.
We chose Payload CMS. New territory for us, but a deliberate choice. Payload is user-friendly for content editors, flexible in structure, and well-suited for projects where the client wants to manage their own content. The learning curve took time. The decision was still the right one. The design also needed a fresh start. Not as a standalone deliverable, but as part of a shared process. What does each page need to do? What belongs there and what does not? We worked through those questions together before writing a single line of code.
We built a new website on Payload CMS: user-friendly for the client, flexible in structure, and built to last.
The design was developed in close collaboration with Utrecht & Partners. Multiple feedback rounds got us to the right result: a look and feel that matches the organization.
The website runs on Payload CMS as the backend. The setup is modular: pages are built from blocks that the client can adjust, expand, or reorganize independently. Future changes stay manageable without involving an external party every time.

The design fits the needs of Utrecht & Partners and reflects the right identity to showcase Utrecht Heart of Health.

Utrecht & Partners can now keep the website up to date without outside help. Adjusting text, adding pages, changing the layout: the client handles it all without involving a developer.

The new website has a clean, modern design that matches the organization. The structured process from wireframes to final design meant no surprises at the end.

Utrecht & Partners now has a website that fits who they are today and that they can maintain themselves. The modular setup in Payload CMS makes it straightforward to add pages or adjust the structure later. No dependency on external parties for day-to-day updates. For us, this was also a learning project. Payload CMS was new to our team. We are now putting that knowledge to work on future projects.
